The article ‘Hypophosphataemia after iron therapy: a hidden risk’ by Dr Georgia Apostolou, Professor Richard MacIsaac, and Dr Alice Hong, which was published in the February 2026 issue of Endocrinology Today (pages 69 to 72), contains an error. In the footnote in the Figure on page 72, the mention of ‘ferric derisomaltose’ in the first set of brackets is incorrect and should read ‘ferric carboxymaltose’ – i.e. ‘Patients at high risk of hypophosphataemia include those who have: had repeated intravenous iron infusions (ferric carboxymaltose or iron polymaltose)...’.
We apologise for this oversight and any confusion it may have caused. The online version and fulltext PDF of this article are correct at: https://endocrinology.medicinetoday.com.au/et/2026/february/regular-series/hypophosphataemia-after-iron-therapy-hidden-risk.
The article ‘At last, a noninjectable adrenaline device for anaphylaxis management’ by Professor Constance H. Katelaris AM, which was published in the January/February 2026 issue of Medicine Today (pages 33 to 34), contains an error. In the section on Indications and administration on page 34, the nasal spray is stated as being dispensed in a carry case. This is incorrect, as the carry cases are available to purchase separately.
